Type of Application : Mobile
Introduction
RunAlong app is our final project made in Mobile Programming II course. This app was inspired by Tinder, however rather than helping you find potential partners, RunAlong helps you meet a running partner.
Problem
Because coordination in Google Maps is the topic of our Mobile Programming II course, our professor has asked us to create an app that relates to it.
Goal
Our objective is to develop an app that will enable runners to locate a running partner in their area, with this app, it will be simple for them to have a running buddy and invite them anytime. They can also communicate through the chat features of this app.
Prototyping
Using Adobe XD, I created the prototype of our application.
Development
Together with my group, we developed our app in Android Studio using XML for the front-end and Java for the back-end. Tensorflow is the database we used.
Final Product
Our final product fulfilled all of the objectives we had outlined after numerous tests and iterations during the development of the app. The app can find nearby runners on a map, and you can also send them an invitation to run with you.
Here is the video demonstration of RunAlong app.
The video presentation for our project is made by me using Adobe Premiere Pro. the process of the application is recorded by Peter.
